Come make your own wine at The Urban Winery, the only urban winemaking experience available in the Mid-Atlantic.

The Urban Winery is the best choice for people looking to experience winemaking. We specialize in small lots, as little as six gallons and offer complete, expert winemaking services; a hands-on experience; a great downtown location; and an intimate, authentic, and fulfilling experience.

We provide a portfolio of premium wine to choose from, all the necessary equipment, a spacious facility and the expertise that allows you to have an amazing experience in a fun environment.

With our guidance, you will select a varietal and drive all the winemaking decisions to produce the style of wine you desire. Throughout the process, you’ll learn a ton, have a lot of fun, and end up with a wine you’ll be proud to share for years to come.

We also love corporate functions! We’ve worked with local businesses to create their own wine for 50 year anniversary gifts, client gifts, and as a teambuilding exercise.

To set up an experience:

1. Call (301-585-4100) or email (info@theurbanwinery.com) us to discuss your desired wine
2. Select a grape variety
3. Join us at the winery to help make your wine
4. Design a custom label for your wine
5. Sit back, relax, and know that your wine is patiently aging for you
6. Join us at the winery to help bottle, cork, and label your wine, (after roughly 10-14 weeks)

Groups are limited to 8 or less because of space and experiential restrictions.

Costs run between $500-750, depending on the wine you choose to make. 

Note: Our expert staff will be keeping track of your wine’s progress and call you when it is ready to be bottled. This is best done within two-weeks of the date suggested by our staff. If your group is unable to return within that period, our staff will bottle your wine for you for an additional charge of $60.
